Winter in Bangladesh can be harsh, especially for vulnerable communities who struggle to protect themselves from the cold. On 16th January 2026, with the generous support of BMS UK, SHED Board successfully distributed winter blankets among cold-affected and vulnerable people across four major regions of the country — Rangpur, Chattagram & Hill Tracts, Khulna, and Srimangol.

This humanitarian initiative reached elderly individuals, children, and low-income families who face severe hardship during the winter season. For many, a simple blanket became a source of safety, comfort, and dignity. More than just protection from the cold, these blankets carried a powerful message of compassion, solidarity, and hope.

The winter relief program was not only about warmth—it was about humanity. It showed that even in the coldest seasons, kindness and unity can create real change in people’s lives.
